Speech Monologue and Scenes Database

On the right hand side of the screen is a search box called Speech (Monologues & Scenes). In the box is a custom search engine that will guide students to suggested monologues, speeches, scenes from lays, film and television, poetry and short story. Just type in the type of dramatic scene, or speech, you would like to access (For Example: a dramatic scene for two females). The results page of the custom search engine will direct you to scripts, and excerpts that are available on the Internet. This resource is made available to help students find appropriate selections for dramatic interpretations, duos, thematic interpretations, storybooks, and humorous interpretations for Ms. Taylor's Speech and Theatre Arts classes and the Granada Hills Charter High School Forensics Team.

A Note: Availability is always based on copyright law. Sometimes authors will not allow their work to appear on the internet or they will require a fee to access the work. If you cannot find a copy of a play, script, poem or story online then ask the library where a physical copy can be found.
